Kien's First Sleepover

Kien had his cousin's Landen and Presley stay all night and it was his first sleepover.  It was during  our week of Vacation Bible School so they really tired and they didn't stay up as long as I thought they would.  The next morning the first thing they said was "ok now lets go swimming".  So at 7:45 a.m. we went while it was raining (it wasn't storming though) and went swimming.  I love those babies I guess I would do anything for them.

July 3rd Party!

Gerad & I had a 4th of July party on the 3rd.  We had lots of food, fireworks, family and friends.  We had a awesome night for the party it wasn't to hot, no rain and hardly no bugs - yeah!  This was the first year that Kien wasn't afraid of the fireworks and he just sat back and enjoyed them.  I got lots of pics of the kids playing they were all so cute and seemed like they  all had lots of fun but I didn't get to many pics of the adults - oh well!

Turtle Cove

On July 1st I took my mom & Kien to Turtle Cove water park.   It was the first time mom had been there and she loved it.  I didn't get a lot of  pictures because I was afraid to get the camera wet.  Kien got my mom on the lazy river which I couldn't believe because she is really afraid of water but she loved it.  She even asked if we could go back this week for her birthday.

Tennessee on Norris Lake

I always spent a lot of my summers in Tennessee on Norris Lake with my family.  Gerad always spent his summers in Tennessee on Norris lake also - just different parts of the lake.  Some of my best memories are from Norris Lake.  We would stay on the lake day and night and sleep and eat in my aunt and uncle house boat.  The house boats down there look like real house sitting on the lake because they don't have waves like we do here in Michigan.  Below is a picture of the house boat we used stay on at night and play on during the day.  We did use a real boat to go out on the water and tube and waterski all day long.  Kien and I went with my family on the lake and Kien loved it just like I used to as a kid (well & still do).

My Aunt Nancy who I stayed with in this time in Tennessee & it was her house boat we would always stay at.  She is such a great host and such a wonderful Aunt.  I love her!
